STS is a great way to learn Spanish whether you are a self-motivated independent learner, or one who needs a schedule and accountability. But either way, the ideal student is someone who has a desire to speak Spanish and is willing to put themselves in front of comprehensible Spanish on a consistent basis. This is not hours a day, but just consistently. If you don’t really want to learn to speak, or can’t be consistent, or you just need to fill the high school credit, STS is probably not for you.
